| This dark bay colt out of Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos from a Flying Paster mare recently made his first career start in a NY-bred maiden special weight sprint at Belmont. On a track listed as sloppy due to torrential rains, King of Karakorum was off slowly from the gate and found himself several lengths behind the field. Even though he finished unplaced, he gained valuable race experience and we expect him to improve as the distances increase. On October 16th, he worked 3-furlongs at Aqueduct in :38.64. | | |
