This handsome chestnut by Mutakddim out of the El Prado mare Sommerfest recently broke his maiden on the Belmont lawn for Linda Rice in just his second start. After a promising juvenile debut where he finished a fast closing fifth after a troubled trip going a mile on the lawn, Legend followed up with an impressive win in a time of 1:23.32.  Legend later was unplaced versus open company juvenile turfers on the Aqueduct lawn. Our hopes remain high for him in 2009.
