| Born in Cleveland , Ohio in 1950, Josh spent most of his childhood in Stockbridge, Massachusetts , where his parents ran a music and arts summer camp, Indian Hill. As a child, he experienced his first horse race at the Great Barrington Fair. And while other kids were enthralled with the rides and cotton candy, the racing and betting fascinated Josh more.
It was in 1974, while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston , that a friend invited him to come with him to Suffolk Downs. That was it – he was hooked on the sport. After a brief career as a guitarist, singer and arranger for various bands, Josh came back to New York where he eventually went into sales.
Josh joined Karakorum in 2000, applying his 22 years of business experience to the sport he loves. In addition to sales, he is responsible for training new sales people, advertising, networking with industry people, and developing venues to attract new Thoroughbred horseracing fans. |
