Call Me Karakorum broke her maiden on Aqueduct's inner track. It was her fourth lifetime start but her first race on Lasix. She then turned back several challengers in midstretch to win by one length and completed 6 furlongs in 1:10.95 on a fast track. Starlet has now finished first or second in 11 of 17 starts and increased her career earnings to over $217,000. |

It was Karakorum Ella in a rout, winning this $12,500 claimer by a whopping 7 ¾ lengths. A substantial class hike for Ella did not deter the bettors, as they pushed her down to 3-2 at post. John Davila, Jr., Ella’s regular rider, took command early by using the three path to set the pace. Widening out in the lane, only Sweet La Rizzi mounted a bid -- but to no avail. Ella had it signed, sealed and delivered midway through the stretch. Not only was it a runaway win for Ella, but it was also quite rewarding after the frustrating trip last time out when she found herself behind a wall of horses. |

Majestic Karakorum took the lead just a few strides out of the gate and held it to the wire in a driving victory. Setting the pace for the field, Majestic faced no challengers until the stretch run, when he was able to shake off Prospect City on the outside and Ricochet on the inside. Daniel Morales, riding Majestic to the win, had opened up a two-length lead, which he maintained for the margin of victory. Although he went off at even money, Majestic topped a very nice exacta combination with Prospect City – paying $23.20. Until this big win, Majestic had been winless in three tries against allowance company at Finger Lakes.

| Race Details : |
Karakorum Starlet has captured her first win of the young Belmont meet, with a driving finish that left the rest of the open allowance field more than three lengths back. Kent Desormeaux watched the leaders closely from the rail, running third for much of the race. At the top of the stretch, the jockey asked Starlet to make her move by going wide. As they drove for home, Starlet passed the early leaders, drew clear and had plenty of steam left under the wire, finishing 3 ¼ lengths ahead of Play It True, who placed. The impressive win for Starlet comes in her second appearance at Belmont so far, the first being a good-looking 2nd place finish on May 10. Those results currently make her the third-ranked horse at the meet; she was ranked first at the meet last year. |

Turning for home, the big gelding responded to his jock's urging and soon opened up on the field. In deep stretch, Salty's lead grew to five lengths and he was never challenged thereafter. Karakorum Elektra quickly annexed her state-bred non-winners of two allowance condition. Under Alan Garcia, Elektra broke well but rated nicely behind the early speed through fractions of :22.81 and :45.69. Entering the stretch, she split rivals and rallied outside the leader. Inside the 16th pole, she drew even with that rival and got her head up in time at the wire. The final time was a spirited 1:21.51. This was her third lifetime win in in just eight starts and pushed her earnings to $111,770. |
